NYC's Largest Heated Outdoor Dining Experience Opens in Industry City

The 85,000-square-foot outdoor space offers a safe, heated dining experience like nowhere else in the city.


Industry City—the largest indoor/outdoor, mixed-use campus in NYC—launched an extensive heated outdoor dining experience with some of New York's favorite food vendors. Each building is lined with heaters and features outdoor HVAC installations with courtyard seating that is comfortable to sit in throughout winter. The five breathable tents and heated tables throughout total more than 12,000-square-feet of seating. The heat comes from the building and the ducts allow tents to have open air circulation will maintaining comfortability. 

Seating is communal and vendors serve out of windows or private entryways to minimize traffic. 38 of Industry City's vendors are currently available to takeout into the outdoor dining space. The vendors include:

  • Avocaderia – The world’s first avocado bar

  • Barrow’s Intense – A bar and distillary centered around their renowned ginger liqueur

  • Bangkok Bar - Brings full flavors from Bangkok to New York and serves up real Pad Thai, curries, and traditional favorites

  • Big ALICe Brewing – The Brooklyn outpost of the Queens-bred brewery favorite including a tap room

  • Brooklyn Kura – Demistifying sake, brewed right on campus with options including drink and bar bites

  • Burger Joint – New York’s #1, no fuss, no muss burger joint, offering hand pressed burgers and a speakeasy bar now serving through their window

  • Ends Meat – A whole-animal salumeria offering prepared dishes including meat-forward entrees

  •  Ejen Korean Comfort Food – Family traditions

  • Frying Pan Brooklyn – Sister bars with the famed, floating Frying Pan in Manhattan, guests can enjoy seafood fare and pub favorites

  • Hometown BBQ – Argued as NYC’s best BBQ, by beloved Chef Billy Durney

  • Gumption Coffee – The IC outpost of the high-quality coffee destination

  • Japan Village

  •  Sunrise Mart – One of NYC’s largest grocers for specialty Asian Japanese items

  • Food Hall – The All Japanese food fall (8+ vendors) within IC’s food hall, offering items from okonomiyaki to onigiri and ramen

  • WakuWaku - Traditional Japanese izakaya

  • Oldies – Fruit-based cocktails & Japanese highballs paired with Japanese bar snacks



  • Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab - Serves the first-ever Berliner doner kebab in NYC

  • Kuraichi – A specialty sake and Japanese spirits shop that is curated and friendly

  • Li-Lac Chocolate – Manhattan’s oldest chocolatier, including their factory and shop

  • Maglia Rosa – An Italian café in the heart of Brooklyn, as well as a bicycle shop

  • Moore Brothers Wine Company – Bottle shop featuring rare and thoughtfully sourced wines

  • One Girl Cookies – Bakery specializing in handmade, artisanal baked goods including tea cookies, cakes, and whoopie pies.

  •  Renegades of Sunset – Unparalleled vegan comfort food, for vegans and non-vegans alike

  • Sahadi’s – The second location of the cult favorite Middle Eastern grocer that’s been in business for over 70 years

  • Standard Wormwood – Distillery and cocktail bar where the spirits and liqueurs are all made onsite and distilled with wormwood

  • Supernatural Café – A wellness café with a blissed out menu to boost your body and mind, helmed by wellness guru, Rachelle Robinette

  • Table 87 – Home of the coal oven slice pizza

  • Taco Mix – The Brooklyn outpost seving some of the best tacos in the City

  • Taza Mkt – Fresh and light Indian food, while still remaining intensely flavorful and staying true to tradition

  • Yaso Tangbao - A fast-casual restaurant serving Shanghainese street food

“New Yorkers want to support small business and the hospitality industry as much as they can this season,” said Jim Somoza, director of development for Industry City. “They also want to have communal experiences in a safe and warm environment. We are uniquely suited to transform our courtyard space into a heated dining and drinking experience, essentially taking our indoor food hall outdoors.
