Friends Nursery School’s peaceful and nurturing environment inspires and engages children to become confident, creative and critical thinkers. We offer drop off classes for 2 – 5 year olds with very flexible scheduling available. Register now for our next Mommy and Me and Prelude to Preschool classes: Mommy & Me This class is for children ages 15 – 24 months and their caregiver – daddies, grannies, nannies welcome! Our inviting and gentle environment allows your child to learn and discover side by side with you or your caregiver. Activities will include arts, stories, sorting, projects to encourage and support language development, and playing with peers. Class meets once a week from January to June 2013. Prelude to Preschool Class This unique drop off program for children ages 24 – 36 months provides a wonderful opportunity for a successful introduction to preschool. Your older two year old/new three year old child will enjoy age appropriate science explorations, stories, art, music and movement, nurturing your child’s social, emotional and cognitive development, in a small group environment. Class meets twice a week from January to June 2013. Connecticut Friends School Camps for 3 - 13 year olds run from June – August. Age and developmentally appropriate camps for 3 – 13 year olds are available for weekly or full season enrollment. Children 5 years old and up enjoy 2 – 3 field trips per week, including swimming. CFS students hail from Wilton, Westport, New Canaan, Norwalk, Darien, Stamford, Ridgefield, Redding, Weston, and other local communities. Connecticut Friends School Interdisciplinary Study Theme: “From the Ground Up” Interdisciplinary learning thrives at CFS! This year’s all-school theme is From the Ground Up; every age level is engaged in exploring this concept via age appropriate, hands-on, projects. Activities include collecting natural materials and identifying, sorting, graphing, and researching uses, and studying natural and manmade structures, including geology, polyhedra, skyscrapers and bridges. CAMPS-TRADITIONAL
Camp Open House: April 5, 1-3pm. Friends Nursery School Camp (ages 3-5-years; June 10-Aug. 2) is a fun, relaxed environment where children enjoy indoor and outdoor activities; 3- and 5-day options available. CFS Summer Camp (grades 1-4; June 10-28), features games, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, swimming, field trips, and more. CFS Adventure Camp (grades 5-8; June 10-28), features a blend of outdoor adventure and cultural field trips, community service, science, arts, sports, and games. Enroll for the full season, or weekly, for any CFS camp option.
