Skateparks in Rockland and Bergen Counties for Kids to Enjoy

Kids who skateboard, bike or rollerblade will love these skateparks in Rockland and Bergen Counties


Have a kiddo into skateboarding or doing tricks on their bike or blades? Luckily, there are some fun skateparks where they can practice around Bergen and Rockland County. Below, we’re sharing a recap of a few places to practice, learn, and watch others master their skating skills.

Skateparks Near Bergen and Rockland Counties

Nyack Skatepark: A 4,200-square-foot skate right on the Hudson River, you’ll love the gorgeous views and many obstacles for skaters of all abilities. This includes mini ramps, flat rails, quarter and half pipes, and much more. Great for kids to practice on their skateboards, rollerblades, BMX, or scooter. In addition to the skating loops, the complex is wheel-chair accessible. 9 Depew Avenue, Nyack, NY 10960.

Patriot Skatepark: A mini trip over the Mario Cuomo Bridge will take you to Patriot Skate Park. Here, you’ll find mini ramps and rail rails to enjoy skateboarding, in-line skating, and biking. 363 Underhill Avenue, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.

2nd Nature: For some indoor skating action, visit 2nd Nature over in Peekskill. A great place to learn, they offer group and private skateboarding lessons where your child can learn the ins and outs in a safe environment. They also offer camps and birthday parties for some special offerings for your mini skater. 1 Highland Industrial Park Peekskill, NY 10566.

Hidden Skatepark: For an underground place to skate, visit Hidden Skate Park where some skaters created their own skate park digging a road buried in the woods. They dug it out and then used wood and planks to make some ramps. Since this isn’t an official skatepark, use caution when practicing at the facility. Old Route 9W, Haverstraw.



Sidney E. Frank Skatepark: Take a trip to New Rochelle for a visit to the Sidney E. Frank Skate Park. This state-of-the-art facility is open year-round and offers a great way for skaters to master their techniques on skateboards, bikes, or rollerblades. 436 5th Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801.

Ringwood Skatepark: Located at the C. William Hofmann Recreation Complex, this complex is for skateboarding and in-line skating only (no bikes or scooters are permitted). Skaters also have to register and must complete the Park Registration Form for use of the facility.  60 Margaret King Avenue, Ringwood, NJ 07456.

Paterson Skatepark: A smaller park, you’ll find a freshly paved ground with mini ramps and small obstacles. 99-105 21st Avenue, Paterson, NJ 07501.

Passaic Skatepark: Located in Pulaski Park, this smaller skatepark is a great place to practice. Kids will find small ledges and obstacles.  Pulaski Park, 4th Street, Passaic, NJ 07055
